101003 - Neitsaari

On an nature protected island on Lake Päijänne, Finland

An island in the National park of Päijänne.
Often I've been longing its shores. This time it started to rain while I was in the opposite shore from my rowing boat. I walked across the island, across the forest for going away from this island and strangely after a long walk I found myself back on the shore from where I left, the south one. So I went along the shore again. On the north shore there was a very strong wind and a lot of waves. No I couldn't go back now. I put the boat higher on the shore and again I tried to go across the island to the south shore where it was protected from the wind and wait for the wind to get weaker and again after a while found myself back on the shore I had just left, the northern windy one...
Still I had to try so went back into the forest and I arrived in the middle of the island, there was a dark and silent spruce forest, I couldn't hear the wind anymore and the sun started to shine, lighting a small opened part in the forest...
